    The Position: Marketing Intern (Summer 2019)

    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with Marketing Team on upcoming and ongoing projects: customer surveys, student ambassador program, product launches and sampling programs
    • Manage Dang’s surprise-and-delight program
    • Assist in researching, planning, coordinating and executing events, demos and field marketing initiatives.
    • Prepare weekly reports on Marketing KPIs and metrics
    • Manage our media samples, track and ship packages to partners, influencers, and media
    • Support Dang’s digital strategy with customer engagement and trend analysis
    • Strengthen the Dang brand identity and engage consumers by assisting with email campaigns, blog posts, social media stories and more
    • Perform light website maintenance
    Requirements/Competencies:
    • Be a jack of all trades, adaptable with a willingness to learn
    • Excellent command of Excel and capable of performing analysis on large datasets
    • Ability to present findings and summarize research and analysis in a clear and concise manner

    Mid-West Regional Manager

    The Position: Mid-West Regional Manager

    The top priorities of the Regional Mid-West Manager are to:

    • Coordinate with the VP of Sales to increase sales year over year and support each account in the Mid-West Region as defined by Dang.
    • Manage brokers (Presence/Dynamic, Foodservice, C-store, Drug, distributor-specific broker groups).
    • Manage distributors to ensure appropriate inventory levels and service to our customers.
    • Successfully launch line extensions and new product lines.
    • Lead account penetration of key customers such as Kroger, Target, Meijer, Hy-Vee, KeHE and Jewel to name a few.
    • Increase per-store sales velocity by designing an appropriate promo plan for each customer and managing and analyzing trade spend.
    • Appraise non-traditional channels (C-store, foodservice), and manage strategic entry to those channels.
    • Perform customer assessments and institute changes to improve product positioning in light of market trends and competitor actions.
    • Contribute to forecasting systems for us to manage our growth.
    • Maintain regular communication and contribute to the team effort across the company

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage many tasks and has extraordinary interpersonal skills and analytical ability.     REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • 5+ years of sales experience in the natural/specialty and grocery channel, selling grocery products nationally (ideally in snacks). Additional channel experience (club, foodservice, C-store, ecommerce) a plus.
    • Has experience working and selling to Kroger HQ and its banners.
    • Knowledge selling with Nutritional Segment (bars specifically) a plus.
    • Possesses relationships with key large account buyers (Kroger, Target, Mejier, Jewel) – ideally in the nutritional bar segment / snack/dried fruit/nuts category.
    • Proven track record of maximizing sales in existing accounts / increasing same-store sales.
    • Demonstrated success in managing a national network of brokers and distributors in the natural/specialty and grocery channel.
    • Experience in effectively managing trade spend with focus on ROI.
    • Driven by analytics and data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Spins, retailer/distributor reports) when making decisions and presenting to key customers.
    • Experience working for a start-up / small company, and growing a brand from $10M to $25M+.
    • Experience in the launching of new products.
    • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs.
    • Preferably living within driving distance of Cincinnati

    Operations Director

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    The ideal candidate has:
    • 15+ years experience in CPG operations
    • Managed copackers in regards to quality control and quality assurance, implement standard operating procedures, margins improvement and procurement
    • Overseen the formation and review of agreements with co-packers, ingredient suppliers, and warehouses
    • Managed third party warehouses, freight carriers, ingredient suppliers, and packaging suppliers
    • Implemented and improved upon supplier quality and social audits
    • Hired and managed full time operations staff
    • Experience working in both a big CPG Company and in a high growth food start-up
    • Experience in setting up new supply chains for new product launches
    • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs

    The Position: Logistics Coordinator

    Reports To: Operations Manager

    The Logistics Coordinator’s Mission: To ensure that Dang’s day to day operations run smoothly.

    Responsibilities/Tactics:

    • Execute order processing, including confirming purchase orders, coordinating pickups/deliveries, issuing returns or credits, and invoicing.
    • Manage our shipping brokers and deliveries to ensure all timely and affordable delivery of product.
    • Negotiate with shipping brokers to optimize freight expense.
    • Manage our 3rd party warehouse and coordinate with them to setup new items, such as mixed cases of product.
    • Coordinate and communicate closely with sales team or buyers in regards to purchase orders, delivery status, pricing and delivery issues, out of stocks (if applicable) in order to ensure highest levels of customer service.
    • Prepare new item paperwork for sales team.
    • Prepare sales kits/product samples/marketing materials (t-shirts, flyers, coupons, etc.) to mail out our sales representatives, key buyers and consumer events.
    • Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

    Job Title: Finance Intern

    Job Description: The position reports to the Finance Manager. The primary focuses are to:

    1. Synthesize, analyze, and summarize relevant internal and external sales data/spreadsheets for the Finance Manager.
    2. Assist the Operations Associate in fighting back unauthorized deductions and processing A/R.
    3. Be a thought leader by introducing ideas on overall inefficiencies in our finance and accounting processes.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Synthesize, analyze, and summarize internal (Sales by region/SKU) and external (IRI/Nielson) data/spreadsheet reports for the Finance Manager.
    • Assist the Operations Associate in fighting back unauthorized deductions and processing Accounts/Receivable.
    • Ad hoc special accounting/finance projects, as needed.
    • Identify opportunities to improve process and reporting efficiency company-wide.

    Job Requirements and Qualifications:

    • 0-2 years of professional finance/accounting (internships + adequate classroom learning will be considered).
