    The Position: Community Manager

    The Job:
    • Manage Dang Foods’ social media marketing and community
    • Content strategy & execution
    • Nurture and strengthen our brand awareness and digital reputation
    • Enhance SEO and generate inbound traffic
    • Build our community by managing customer communications across multiple platforms

    You have a passion for connecting and engaging with current and future customers; You will be the voice of the Dang brand across all digital platforms – presenting our brand as genuine, inviting, creative, and slightly irreverent, but always authentic.

    Responsibilities/Tactics:
    • Monitor and engage with community across all social and digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Reddit, dangfoods.com, Amazon)
    • Develop social media strategy: create, curate, and manage content
    • Drive audience growth and engagement metrics
    • Identify, source and manage paid & organic influencer relationships – minimum of 4 -6 posts per month
    • Respond to customer comments, complaints, questions across email, Amazon, dangfoods.com, social platforms, and other retail dot coms
    • Solicit and manage reviews on Amazon, dangfoods.com, and other retail dot coms to optimize our 4 star ratings
    • Source and manage review building tools to optimize Dang reviews and scores (i.e. Bazaarvoice)
    • Provide weekly reporting with key metrics
    • Manage content calendar and external resources for content creation
    • Keep abreast of best practices, applications, and new social media tools; implement as needed
    • Optimize email communications for optimal customer experience
    Requirements/Competencies:
    • Expertise in community and fan building
    • Passion for social media and engaging with customers
    • Exceptional writing skills and a witty, clever brand voice
    • Enthusiasm for natural foods, modern Asian snacks, and healthy recipes
    • Prompt, articulate, and thoughtful response within 24 hours to all issues
    • Understanding of SEO, keyword research, Google Analytics
    • Photography, Illustrator and Photoshop skills. Video skills a plus.
    • Ability to draw insights from engagement data, and implement plan of action based on findings
    • Empathy and a desire to make our fans and customers happy
    Location: Our office is located in Berkeley CA. Local preferred, but remote is acceptable for exceptional candidates.

    Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus potential, equity package, health care package.

    The Position: Marketing Intern (Summer 2019)

    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with Marketing Team on upcoming and ongoing projects: customer surveys, student ambassador program, product launches and sampling programs
    • Manage Dang’s surprise-and-delight program
    • Assist in researching, planning, coordinating and executing events, demos and field marketing initiatives.
    • Prepare weekly reports on Marketing KPIs and metrics
    • Manage our media samples, track and ship packages to partners, influencers, and media
    • Support Dang’s digital strategy with customer engagement and trend analysis
    • Strengthen the Dang brand identity and engage consumers by assisting with email campaigns, blog posts, social media stories and more
    • Perform light website maintenance
    Requirements/Competencies:
    • Be a jack of all trades, adaptable with a willingness to learn
    • Excellent command of Excel and capable of performing analysis on large datasets
    • Ability to present findings and summarize research and analysis in a clear and concise manner
    • Passion for engaging with customers and sharing the Dang brand
    • Exceptional writing skills and a witty, clever brand voice
    • Enthusiasm for natural foods and modern Asian snacks
    Location: Berkeley, CA

    Compensation: $15-$20 hourly based on previous experience, 36-40 hours per week.
