  • Social Media Manager

    The Position: Social Media Manager

    The Job: Dang Foods is searching for an experienced social media manager to grow our 40,000+ strong community of “Dangsters”. Knowing that social media is the secret weapon in any growing company’s marketing arsenal, we need a commander who will take the reigns of our digital ship. Using our brand guidelines, the manager will lead an army of influencers and content creators into the battlefield and elevate our brand voice above the noise. #DangThatsGood

    The Social Media Manager’s Mission: To grow our social media community 100% each year, ensure multiple postings per day using influencer-created and original content, and make all our fans feel the #DangLove.

    Responsibilities/Tactics:

    • Develop social media strategy with CEO.
    • Manage content creating interns.
    • Create list of influencers and get 500 on board by end of year 1.
    • Work with brand manager to test ad campaigns. Reassess and reiterate as appropriate.
    • Work with e-commerce manager on sales campaigns.
    • Work with content creators to create best-in-class content.
    • Engage with community through conversations.
    • Monitor feedback and respond promptly to all feedback.
    • Requirements/Competencies:
    • 2+ years social media manager experience with expertise in Instagram and Facebook community building
    • Fantastic communication skills
    • Enthusiasm for natural foods and healthy recipes
    • A witty, clever brand voice
    • Ability to draw insights from engagement data

    Location: Our office is located in Berkeley CA, but candidate can work remotely with periodic visits to office.

    Compensation: Competitive for similar positions – base pay, bonus potential based on meeting company goals, equity.

  • Northeast Sales Manager

    The Position: Northeast Sales Manager

    The Job Description: Dang Foods is searching for an experienced Northeast Sales Manager to elevate our Dang presence in the region. The ideal candidate will work with the VP of Sales to identify high-leverage sales opportunities around the Northeast. He or she has a bias toward action, is scrappy and hungry, and has extremely high standards as well as high IQ and EQ. Working with a sense of urgency is common among Dangsters.

    The Northeast Sales Manager’s Mission: To grow sales in the region 100% each year, maintain a healthy gross margin, and source, coach, and train area sales managers with VP of Sales’ assistance.
    The Northeast Sales Manager is charged with:

    Responsibilites/Tactics

    • Calling on key regional accounts in the Northeast (Hannaford, Fairway, Gourmet Garage, etc) and outside the region when needed
    • Overseeing area sales managers in the NYC area
    • Leveraging store-level data to strategize field activities
    • Being responsible for growing sales from distribution centers in the region (UNFI, KeHE, Exotic Gourmet, Abraham Natural Foods, Island
    • Natural, Chex Finer Foods)
    • Work with marketing team to focus campaigns on key retailers
    • Hire area sales managers, manage them to meet key objectives
    • Create sales budget and forecast with 90% accuracy
    • Know the market and provide feedback from store level

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years sales experience with a focus on NYC and natural food
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • E-commerce Manager

    The Position: E-commerce Manager

    The E-commerce Manager ’s Mission: To grow Dang’s E-commerce sales by 100% every year for the next three years,
    with a primary focus on Amazon.

    Responsibilities/Tactics:
    •Develop E-commerce strategy with CEO.
    •Design experiments to test ad campaigns. Reassess and reiterate as appropriate.
    •Optimize above the fold content: product titles, product and brand pages (PDPs), main bullet points.
    •Optimize below the fold content: A+ content, descriptions, size buttons, pricing.
    •Grow positive reviews; monitor and respond to negative reviews.
    •Manage Amazon broker.
    •Manage Amazon brand registry and remove unapproved 3 rd party resellers.
    •Collaborate cross-functionally with operations to develop new products for Amazon such as custom
    pack sizes.
    •Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing to design Amazon-specific imagery, copy, assets.

    Requirements/Competencies:
    •3+ years E-commerce sales experience with expertise in Amazon vendor central, seller central, AMS,
    sponsored searches, coupons, pricing

  • Brand Ambassador

    The Position: Brand Ambassador
    Location: Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle markets
    The Job Description: Dang Foods is searching for highly energetic and professional Brand Ambassadors to introduce consumers to the magic of coconut chips and onion chips one mouth at a time. We’re looking for individuals to be a part of a dynamic team focused on brand awareness and education. Primary focus is on conducting demos/samplings of Dang products in store and at events. In addition to interacting with consumers face to face, our ambassadors will be responsible for building relationships with the staff at store level and supporting the Dang Area Sales Manager in maximizing our brand presence in those stores.
    The Dang Brand Ambassador is charged with:
    • Creating genuine excitement about Dang
    • Understanding and sharing knowledge of the Dang and its products
    • Actively engaging consumers & store staff to spread brand awareness and build brand affinity
    Responsibilities:
    • Schedule and conduct demos/events in a professional and timely manner
    • Drive to all location sites within the area of coverage
    • Set up and break down all equipment
    • Maintain proper inventory levels during and after events
    • Provide detailed post-event report of consumer interactions, product feedback and status of Dang presence in store (stock on shelves, display locations, etc.)
    • Drop off product, swag, coupons, etc. to local grocery teams and influencers
    • Participate in an initial onboarding call as well as quarterly update calls, and stay informed regularly on the latest product & messaging updates through email
    Requirements:
    • Food/CPG demo experience (preferably at least 1 year)
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Reliable, responsible, responsive, organized
    • Enthusiastic, outgoing, professional
    • Passionate about healthy foods and active lifestyles
    • Able to complete job responsibilities & manage time independently but willing (and excited!) to work as part of a larger regional sales and marketing team
    • Able to adapt to changing conditions and proactively solve issues as circumstances change
    • Occasional evening and weekend availability
    • Has a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and a reliable car
    • Able to stand on your feet for extended periods and lift 30 lbs.
    • Access to a smartphone and/or tablet

    Employment type: Part-time, paid hourly (competitive rate, includes travel time & mileage)
    Time commitment: Approx. 10-15 hours per week (depends on market), flexible hours
    Reports to: Marketing Coordinator & Area Sales Manager
