  • Field Marketing Coordinator

    The Position: Field Marketing Coordinator (possible flex to Manager)

    This role reports directly to our VP Marketing with dotted line to Director of Sales, West

    As Dang’s Field Marketing lead, you will oversee field marketing and demo events with some support to sales team efforts, including:

    • Lead national demo program. Recruit, hire & train demo agencies/reps
    • Negotiate with agency partners and outside partners as needed
    • Materials management & shipping to field agents (will have some assistance from home office)
    • Work closely with sales team, key accounts, and distributors to ensure product is on hand for demos
    • Manage creative development & execution of collateral (signage, tshirts, handouts, etc)
    • Weekly and monthly demo reporting

    Area Sales Responsibilities may entail:

    • Achieve sales goals and performance metrics
    • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory
    • • Sell our brand to retailers in coordination with local distributors and brokers
    • Call on key accounts on an ongoing basis to implement sales team priorities
    • Enhance the business by gaining new points of distribution
    • Educate account managers and distributors on proper and effective merchandising:
      • Look of success
      • Proper shelf management positions
      • Rack, equipment, and POS placements
    • Weekly and monthly sales reporting

    The Position: Marketing Coordinator

    This role reports directly to our VP Marketing.

    As Dang’s Marketing Coordinator, you will be the primary generator of “Brand Love” for the Dang Brand. You will:

    • Manage all customer service inquiries via traditional and social channels
    • Codify our customer service communication standards
    • Coordinate packaging and communications to ensure every consumer touchpoint is flawlessly executed
    • Create a “surprise-and-delight” program for Dang’s best customers
    • Identify, initiate, and nurture key brand partnerships for Dang
    • Various ad hoc projects to support Marketing and Sales teams

    The Position: AR/AP Analyst

    The AR/AP Analyst: To receive A/R and pay A/P timely and completely.

    Responsibilities/Tactics:

    • Manage database of approved/unauthorized deductions. Review check receipts and underlying documentation to identify unauthorized deductions.
    • Follow up and work directly with customers to collect on unauthorized deductions.
    • Review A/R Aging weekly and collect on delinquent payments.
    • Prepare monthly commissions statements for our sales brokers, by reviewing broker agreement and pulling data from quickbooks and other databases.
    • Input bills into bill.com and ensure accuracy and appropriate coding.
    • Analyze large amounts of data and present analysis effectively.

    The Position: Position: Director of Sales, West

    The top priorities of the Director of Sales, West are to:

    • Partner with the executive team to create, develop, and execute sales plans that increase market share and achieve sales growth year over year.
    • Own key account relationships and responsibilities while developing innovative
      customer plans to grow sales.
    • Effectively manage and motivate regional sales teams in the West (currently 1 full-time regional sales manager opening) by setting goals and measuring success against those goals.
    • Develop and manage key distributor partners within the West.
    • Effectively manage broker partners such as Presence/Dynamic, Green Spoon, Edge,
      HRK, etc.
    • Work with ops to contribute to forecasting st while ensuring appropriate
      inventory levels and service to our customers to manage growth.
    • Successfully launch line extensions and new product lines.
    • Increase per-store sales velocity by designing an appropriate promo plan for each customer and managing and analyzing trade spend within budget.
    • Perform customer assessments and institute changes to improve product positioning in light of market trends and competitor actions.
    • Contribute to forecasting systems for us to manage our growth.
    • Maintain regular communication and contribute to the team effort across the company.

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage many tasks and has extraordinary

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • 5+ years of sales experience in the natural/specialty and grocery channel, selling grocery products (ideally in snacks). Additional channel experience (conventional, foodservice, DSD) a plus.
    • Possesses relationships with key account buyers (UNFI, Whole Foods, Sprout’s, Lucky’s Market, Kroger, Albertsons/Safeway) – ideally in the natural snack/dried fruit/nuts category.
    • Proven track record of maximizing sales in existing accounts / increasing same-store sales.
    • Demonstrated success in managing a national network of brokers and distributors in the natural/specialty, conventional, and foodservice channels.
    • Experience in effectively managing trade spend with focus on ROI.
    • Driven by analytics and data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Spins, retailer/distributor reports) when making decisions and presenting to key customers.
    • Experience working for a start-up / small company, and growing a brand from $10M to $25M+.
    • Experience in the launching of new products.
    • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs.

    The Position: Position: Southwest Regional Sales Manager

    Dang is searching for an experienced Southwest Regional Sales Manager (SoCal, NV, and AZ) to elevate our Dang presence in the region. The ideal candidate will work with the VP of Sales to identify high-leverage sales opportunities around the Southwest.     The Southwest Regional Sales Manager is charged with:

    • Managing key regional accounts in the Southwest (Barons, Bristol Farms, Gelsons, Lassens, Lazy Acres,
      Mothers Market, etc.) as well as assisting with national accounts (Ralph’s, Safeway, Albertsons, Whole
      Foods, Sprouts, Walmart, Target).
    • Managing brokers and distributors (UNFI, KeHE, DSD, etc.) to maximize sales and distribution
      opportunities.
    • Overseeing Area Sales Managers in the LA area, setting goals and measuring success against those goals.
    • Leveraging store-level data to strategize field activities.
    • Successfully launching line extensions and new product lines.

    Responsibilities:

    The Position: Operations Associate
    Reports To: Operations Manager

    The Operations Associate’s Mission: To ensure that Dang’s day to day operations run smoothly.

    Responsibilities/Tactics:

    • Execute order processing, including confirming purchase orders, coordinating pickups/deliveries, issuing returns or credits, and invoicing.
    • Manage our shipping brokers and deliveries to ensure all timely and affordable delivery of product.
    • Negotiate with shipping brokers to optimize freight expense.
    • Coordinate closely with sales team or buyers in regards to purchase orders, delivery status, pricing and delivery issues, out of stocks (if applicable) in order to ensure highest levels of customer service.
    • Prepare sales kits/product samples/marketing materials (t-shirts, flyers, coupons, etc.) to mail out our sales representatives, key buyers and consumer events.
    • Calculate monthly commissions for our sales brokers.
    • Enter bills into our internal software (Bill.com).
    • Review AR Aging and follow up with delinquent payments accordingly.
    • Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

    The Position: Area Sales Manager – NYC

    We are seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager based in the New York City area who brings significant ambition and a desire to join a winning team.

    The ideal candidate will visit key accounts in their assigned territory and work with local retail, broker, and distributor partners to achieve sales objectives. The candidate will use their relationships at store level to sell-in displays of Dang products. They will coordinate closely with the sales and marketing team to build displays around specific geo-targeted events. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, communicative, and energetic individual who lives and breathes the brand they represent.

    The Position: Brand Ambassador

    Location: Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle markets

    The Job Description: Dang Foods is searching for highly energetic and professional Brand Ambassadors to introduce consumers to the magic of coconut chips and onion chips one mouth at a time. We’re looking for individuals to be a part of a dynamic team focused on brand awareness and education. Primary focus is on conducting demos/samplings of Dang products in store and at events. In addition to interacting with consumers face to face, our ambassadors will be responsible for building relationships with the staff at store level and supporting the Dang Area Sales Manager in maximizing our brand presence in those stores.

    The Dang Brand Ambassador is charged with:
    • Creating genuine excitement about Dang
    • Understanding and sharing knowledge of the Dang and its products
    • Actively engaging consumers & store staff to spread brand awareness and build brand affinity
    Responsibilities:
    • Schedule and conduct demos/events in a professional and timely manner

    • Provide detailed post-event report of consumer interactions, product feedback and status of Dang presence in store (stock on shelves, display locations, etc.)
    • Drop off product, swag, coupons, etc. to local grocery teams and influencers
    • Participate in an initial onboarding call as well as quarterly update calls, and stay informed regularly on the latest product & messaging updates through email

    Requirements:
    • Food/CPG demo experience (preferably at least 1 year)
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Reliable, responsible, responsive, organized
    • Enthusiastic, outgoing, professional
    • Passionate about healthy foods and active lifestyles
    • Able to complete job responsibilities & manage time independently but willing (and excited!) to work as part of a larger regional sales and marketing team
    • Able to adapt to changing conditions and proactively solve issues as circumstances change
    • Occasional evening and weekend availability
    • Has a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and a reliable car
    • Able to stand on your feet for extended periods and lift 30 lbs.
    • Access to a smartphone and/or tablet

    Employment type: Part-time, paid hourly (competitive rate, includes travel time & mileage)

    Time commitment: Approx. 10-15 hours per week (depends on market), flexible hours
    Reports to: Marketing Coordinator & Area Sales Manager
